About Zeotein

There's a volcanic mineral in this protein shake.

That's not an accident. It's the reason the company has the name it has.

Start with the strange part

Zeolite. Clinoptilolite, specifically — a mineral that forms where volcanic ash meets seawater and crystallizes into a structure that looks like a honeycomb under magnification. It carries a naturally negative charge. It has been mined and used as a food-grade ingredient for a very long time.

You won't find it in another protein powder. We put our name on it.

Here's what we're not going to do. Search zeolite and you'll find a lot of people making very big promises about it. We're not going to be one of them.

What we'll tell you is what it is, and that it's in every single pack. The promises we'll leave to everyone else.

We'd rather you believe the second thing we tell you because we didn't oversell the first one.

Everything else had to earn its place

Once zeolite was in, the rest of the formula got built around one question: does this ingredient do enough to justify the space?

Six made it into Cacao. Five into Vegan. Grass-fed beef bone broth and organic collagen peptides for the protein. Organic MCT. Organic sea moss. Organic fermented cacao.

That's the list. Not because we ran out of ideas — because nothing else earned it.

I've built a few businesses. This is the one I'm most careful with, because it's the only one people put in their body.

Most of my job here is saying no.

No to the sweetener that would make this a lot easier to sell. No to the filler that would pad out the scoop and make the protein number look better than it is. No to the fourteenth ingredient that would look impressive on the front of the bag and do nothing on the back of it.

Six ingredients isn't minimalism for its own sake. It's what's left over after a year of saying no.

The long-label trick

Pick up almost any supplement and count the ingredients. Twenty-five, thirty, sometimes more. It looks like value. It reads like you're getting a lot for your money.

Most of that list is there to be read, not to work. An ingredient present in a trace amount takes up the same space on a label as one that's actually doing something, and it costs a fraction as much to put there.

Ours has six. Every one of them is in there at an amount that means something, and none of them are there to make the label look busier than the formula is.

What we won't do - 

• We won't add sweeteners to make this easier to sell.
• We won't pad a label to make it look impressive. 
• We won't tell you a supplement will fix a medical problem. It won't, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something else. 
• We won't run a subscription you can't cancel in under a minute.
