What's Actually in Zeotein: All Six Ingredients, Named
Share
Most chocolate protein powders run twenty to thirty ingredients deep. Zeotein Cacao runs six. That is a decision, not a shortcut. The short list is the product.
Here is the entire list, named the way it appears on the label.
1. Grass-Fed Bone Broth Protein
This is the protein base. It comes from grass-fed beef rather than dairy, which is why Zeotein is dairy free. Bone broth protein brings a different amino acid profile than whey does: more glycine and proline, the amino acids that make up connective tissue.
2. Grass-Fed Collagen Peptides
Hydrolyzed collagen, which means the protein has been broken into shorter chains so it dissolves into liquid instead of sitting on top of it. Collagen peptides help support healthy hair, skin, nails and joints.†
In most routines collagen is a second tub you buy separately. Here it is already in the serving.
3. Organic Fermented Cacao
Real cacao, fermented and never alkalized. Alkalizing, sometimes called Dutch processing, is a heat-and-alkali step that mellows the bitterness and strips a lot of what makes cacao interesting. Ours skips it. That is why the chocolate reads deep and a little earthy instead of candy-sweet.
4. Organic MCT Oil Powder
Medium-chain triglycerides, from coconut, spray-dried into a powder. MCTs are a fat the body uses quickly for energy.† The powdered form is what lets a fat ingredient sit in a dry blend and still mix smooth.
5. Organic Sea Moss
A whole-food sea vegetable, harvested and dried. Sea moss carries trace minerals and is one of the oldest foods in coastal diets. It is in here as food, not as an extract.
6. Zeolite Mineral
A naturally occurring volcanic mineral, formed where volcanic ash meets water. It is the ingredient you are least likely to have seen in a protein powder, and it is one of the six rather than a bonus seventh.
What a serving looks like
Two scoops, one serving, in 10 to 12 ounces of liquid. Water, milk, coffee, a smoothie. Each serving is 23 grams of protein and 140 calories, with zero sugar. Thirty servings in a bag.
Zeotein Cacao is gluten free and dairy free.
What the label tells you
Every one of those six ingredients is named on the panel. The blend itself is proprietary, so the panel names what is in the bag and discloses the protein and collagen grams rather than breaking the blend down ingredient by ingredient.
Six ingredients is a short enough list that you can hold all of it in your head. That is the point.
